Collections Representative - Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern
Pay range: $19.41 - $25.50 / hour
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound calls, make outbound calls to assigned external clients
- Ability to collaborate with various departments to resolve client business concerns resulting in a positive client experience
- Responsible for managing portfolio and reducing AR > 90

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years or older
- 3+ years of experience in Billing collections
- 1+ years of customer service experience OR experience in a medical office, health care, call center, or office setting with analyzing and solving customer problems
- Experience with QBS billing experience
- Experience with researching / analyzing data and communicating recommendations to management
- Responsible for managing a portfolio of client bill accounts and to directly impact the collection of the AR > 90
- Perform research on outstanding accounts and establishing a rapport with clients to collect revenue
- Proficient in translating health care - related jargon and complex processes into simple, step - by - step instructions customers can understand and act upon
- Familiarity with computer and windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
Ability to work any of our full time (40 hours / week), 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:30 am - 5:00 pm EST from Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate complex billing issues across multiple associate levels (internal and external)
- Collaborate with various departments to resolve clients billing concerns resulting in a positive client experience
- Demonstrated ability to listen skillfully, collect relevant information, build rapport, and respond to customers in a compassionate manner
- Feel comfortable with collecting high dollars from Hospitals
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Have excellent follow up skills
- Able to work as part of a team and work well independently
- Able to multi - task and ensure all deliverables are met timely
- Able to analyze data, identify issues and make recommendations on next steps
- Able to research issues via multiple tools (including internet)
- Able to remain focused and productive daily
