Dermatopathologist – Altamonte Springs, FL
Our laboratory located in Altamonte Springs, FL is looking to add a Dermatopathologist to a small team of two pathologists in a high volume, collaborative practice. We are seeking a candidate that is board certified in anatomic and/or clinical pathology and is board certified in dermatopathology. We are an industry leader and in this role, you will join a great team of professionals with an outstanding support staff.
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic interpretation of all dermatopathology cases
Be familiar and able to recommend clinically appropriate advanced diagnostic testing such as molecular and genetic studies.
Takes initiative to improve quality in the workplace.
Participates and coordinates activities of QC/QA/QI to ensure quality care and evaluates effectiveness of quality assurance policies and procedures to enhance standards and excellence of service laboratory and company.
Provide advice to referring physicians regarding the clinical significance of laboratory findings.
Actively builds upon education and experience through Continuing Medical Education to maintain licensure and credentials.
Qualifications:
M.D. or D.O.
Subspeciality Dermatopathology fellowship required
2-3 years post residency experience desired
Active unrestricted license to practice in Florida
Strong customer focus and understanding of laboratory operations
Ability visually, audibly, and physically performs all job functions.
Ability to spend consecutive hours with continued focus, interpreting tissues and cellular preparations through a microscope.
