Job Description

As a technical architect for eCommerce, you will help support high quality software design and solutions. This role will support our consumer facing commerce applications. You are an engineering leader, who is passionate about ecommerce. You will partner with enterprise architects, engineers, security, and the operations teams, to design and build reusable technology solutions. You will bring empathy, humility, and a continuous learning mindset to every interaction. You are motivated to innovate and create, to always do the right thing, and to improve both what we build and how we build it at Quest. You will work with a group of passionate and extraordinary people focused on creating compelling scalable healthcare solutions within the eCommerce industry using Salesforce products and open-source technologies. As a technical architect you are expected to have a strong point of view on CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Deployment) processes, and have the knowledge to present proof of concepts to the technical leadership, for any proposed process implementation. Your time would be split between driving ongoing initiatives and developing/improving technology processes for a secure and efficient enterprise.


  • Partner with other Quest business units for Quality Assurance, Project Management, and troubleshooting development issues.
  • Participate in stand-up meetings, conference calls, track your time, and work through tickets assigned to you.
  • Act with urgency and professionalism when interfacing with business partners and technical resources.
  • Learn from some of the best on how to develop within the enterprise level e-commerce platform, Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the business partners and technical leadership
  • Identify and lead internal strategic initiatives to grow technical efficiency, serving as an active contributor to Quest’s overall knowledge base and expertise.
  • Guide business owners and colleagues in rationalizing use of emerging technologies to drive business value.
  • Work collaboratively and have strong communications skills, especially in teaching complex concepts, and creative, prescriptive thinking.
  • Identify and proactively manage risk areas and commit to seeing an issue, through to completion.
  • Manage business expectations, negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the business and third-party partners.
  • Review and correct project/program direction, approach, and key artifacts to keep programs on track and solutions extendable and maintainable going forward
  • Work closely with Delivery Managers and Solution Architects to deliver program vision.

Minimum Requirements

  • Hands on working knowledge of Sales Force Commerce Cloud (SFRA)
  • 5+ years Sales Force Commerce Cloud experience
  • Strong application design skills combined with strong data, integration, and security architecture skills
  • Good understanding of modern security principles with WAF (Web Application Firewall), CDN capabilities in cybersecurity.
  • Strong presentation skills. Must have the ability to effectively present and defend a point of view to a variety of audiences
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience
  • Must be a listener with the ability to communicate with people in diverse roles
  • Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration
  • Resourceful and innovative thinker who can work through and solve problems
