Position Description
The different disciplines within the Digital Solutions function are: Customers, Partners, Internet of Things (IoT), and Operational Systems.
Partners with the business and key leaders within the IT family to lead the transformation of our core operational solutions to the cloud enabling new innovations faster and at scale. This leader will require a broad set of skills and a solid track record of leading cloud transformations. Responsibilities include researching, analyzing, designing, proposing, and delivering solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies. Responsible for working with business partners to evaluate requirements, concepts and innovations, opportunities, and prospective partners to assess their value and how they best fit into the existing landscape of solutions. Presents to senior leadership and represents IT in multiple business initiatives and strategies. Leads and directs work in a hybrid environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develops strategies, programs and solutions to transform our core systems to execute in the cloud.
Technical acumen, skills, and experience to do cloud transformations.
Simplifying the integration between core systems.
Business acumen to understand solution requirements from different parts of organization with varying goals, roles and responsibilities.
Researches and evaluates new digital concepts / solutions and determining if and how they would best fit into the Quest portfolio of services.
Must be capable of turning complexity into simplicity by simplifying complicated processes, systems, tools and technologies using architecture capabilities. Must possess required knowledge, advanced skills, and substantial experience in clinical laboratory domain.
Experienced accelerating solution delivery using agile approach by taking a pragmatic approach to architecture and focus on the minimum viable product (MVP)
Develops strategic roadmaps, competitive benchmark assessments, and identify or evaluate potential solutions that could support the market offer.
Works with business partners and foster multidisciplinary collaboration to both create business cases and ensure the deployment of solutions that engage target populations and address market needs.
Lead, facilitate and maintain the retirement, re-platform, and core systems components upgrade roadmaps.
Provides key thought leadership and influence pertaining to client digital experiences for various segments.
Partners with leaders in the architecture and digital services organizations to align priorities and strategies.
Gathers and assesses market requirements through competitive intelligence and emerging trends, stakeholder, client and consumer feedback.
Interfaces across several business areas, acting as visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future products and solutions.
Will have a wide degree of creativity and latitude to management of highly skilled employees.
Arbitrates disagreements among product teams and make decisions where needed.
Coaches, mentors, and delegates to digital services team members to facilitate their development.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree in related field, MBA or equivalent preferred
14+ years of experience in solution strategy, digital product management and development of digital software products; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Experience in healthcare industry in a direct to consumer (DTC) capacity preferred.
Experience in cloud transformations
Comfortably moves between highly varying levels of abstraction from business strategy to IT strategy to high-level technical design to detailed design to implementation.
Clearly documents and communicates objectives, requirements, and designs at these different levels of abstraction to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Quickly and reasonably estimates capital, schedule, and human resources costs of proposed solutions. Compares, contrasts, and prioritizes among alternatives approaches while assessing risk both quantitatively and qualitatively.
Uses seasoned judgment to suggest approaches that optimize among customer needs, business constraints, and technological realities.
Influences and communicates effectively with non-technical audiences including senior business executives and managers.
