Logistics Coord- Memphis, Tennessee - Sunday 6:30AM-3:30PM, Monday-Thursday 8AM-4:30PM

Job Summary

Handles all internal and external customer contact received by phone, in writing and in person.  Troubleshoots both complex logistics technical and routine requests.  Receives, resolves and follows up with the most complex Logistics issues that cannot be resolved immediately.  Maintains necessary electronic files to provide Logistics with a comprehensive assessment of incoming problem calls.  Suggests improvements to systems to resolve chronic Logistics issues as determined from a periodic evaluation of statistics.  Participates in implementation of new Logistics practices.

Job Accountabilities

  • Responds to requests for information concerning cause of Logistics service failures involving the Quest Diagnostics US courier network.  Problem solves and communicates resolution to external and internal customers.

  • Maintains an electronic file of problems and their resolution.

  • Recommends and coordinates improvements/changes to the US logistics network as regards to servicing Quest Diagnostics accounts.

  • Develops training materials to improve understanding for Quest Diagnostics Logistics units and Specimen Management groups.

  • Assist in following up on client education to assure proper use of Logistics services.

  • Alerts Logistics management of client dissatisfaction and/or changes to Quest Diagnostics Logistics practices and third party contractors.

  • Participates in monthly conference calls with all Quest Diagnostics Logistics units.

  • Participates in maintaining and writing departmental SOPs.

  • Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2 years experience in Logistics as an RSR II or above.

  • Working knowledge of Quest Diagnostics computer systems as well as familiarity with MS Office Suite.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Good presentation skills.

  • Must be able to maintain composure under stressful situations.

  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
