Position Description

We are looking for an independent thinker who makes convincing, evidence-based decisions. The Director of DevSecOps Core Platform will manage a team of manager and DevSecOps engineers in the US and India; will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Quest’s DevSecOps self-serve platform footprint.

Responsibilities

•       Deliver scalable, resilient, reliable, secure & cost-effective DevSecOps platform capabilities with an automation bias, following infrastructure as code, security as code and continuous compliance/compliance as code patterns

•       Oversee design and implementation of DevSecOps core components (e.g. related to terraform modules, K8, CI/CD, gitops capabilities)

•       Define the processes, practices and tools enabling CI/CD, maximizing the speed, security, and quality of product delivery

•       Responsible for building the core platform solution to enable CDN, database caching (e.g., Memcache, Redis etc) with extremely high availability, reliability, scalability to ensure that the system is stable, low latency, high availability, and easy to scale under extremely high concurrent access scenarios

•       Conduct design and code reviews to ensure compliance with standards

•       Lead, manage and grow multiple teams of DevSecOps.

•       Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity.

•       Recruit, motivate, mentor, and lead the best application engineering talent

 

Qualifications

•       Bachelor's degree in Computer engineering/Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience.

•       10+ years of experience building and leading DevSecOps/Engineering team.

•       Experience in public cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).

•       Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, specifically:

o   Native Container Tools (Docker etc.)

o   Vendor Container Service (AKS, EKS)

o   Expert level knowledge of pods, nodes, deployments (blue-green, canary, rollbacks etc.), load balancers and Helm charts

o   Deploying microservices / Java REST based containers

o   Maintaining Security in a Kubernetes cluster

o   Deploying tools for container monitoring, metrics, and logging

•       Experience in either SAFe agile or Scrum or Kanban model

•       Hands-on experience with automation, orchestration, and system configuration tools (Gitlab, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform)

•       At least 5 years’ experience with object-oriented programming, functional programming, and data design.

•       At least 5 years' experience in developing scalable web applications and architectural standards.

•       At least 5 years' experience with Cloud technologies.

•       At least 5 years' experience utilizing DevSecOps technologies to drive Continuous Delivery

•       Certification in AWS or Azure or GCP is plus

•       Experience with Site Reliability is a plus

•       Working knowledge of managing RESTful/FHIR APIs.
