Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma- Oklahoma City, OK Monday-Friday 8am-5pm


Main Duties: Responsible for driving company’s financial results, while ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and the integrity of the control environment. Be recognized as a business leader creating an environment where all functions look to finance for business advice.

1.     Oversee Accounting/Finance staff including hiring, development, and evaluations.

2.     Supervises the production of company financial statements and general ledger control functions ensuring integrity and accuracy.

3.     Timely preparation of annual budget and monthly business outlooks.

4.     Make sure company’s internal controls are adhered to, adequate and functioning properly.

5.     Identify best practices to drive revenue growth and cost containment. Challenge the status quo. Demonstrate a sense of urgency.

6.     Proficient in working with multiple departments to drive process improvement and challenge existing paradigms.

7.     Perform additional duties and assists with special projects upon request from management.

Required Knowledge: 

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required. MBA preferred
2.CPA is strongly preferred.

Required Experience: 

-Minimum of 10 years of successful work experience in roles requiring increasing management responsibility.
-Healthcare experience is preferred.
-Has excellent critical thinking as well as analytical skills.
-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Exhibits strong computer skills and knowledge of relevant technology.

Special Requirements: Periodic travel is required

Responsible for driving Business Unit financial results, while insuring the accuracy of financial reporting and the integrity of the control environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Identify and drive best practices in revenue growth (volume, price, and reimbursement) and cost containment. Challenge the status quo. Demonstrate a sense of urgency.

2. Drive continuous process improvement to deliver the highest quality service at the lowest cost.

3. Be recognized as a leader in both the Business Unit and the function. Demonstrate interpersonal, tactical, and strategic thinking leadership skills. Create an environment where all functions look to finance for business advice.

4. Appropriately challenge existing paradigms. Drive the Business Unit and the function to the next level. Continually raise the bar.

5. Insure the integrity and accuracy of the Business Unit's monthly financial statements. Especially reserve positions. No surprises.

6. Insure internal controls are adequate and functioning properly.

7. Manage Business Unit finance and local billing function. Also may manage facilities, warehouse and/or materials management functions. Hire and develop leaders in each function.

8. Accurate and timely forecasts and budgets. 9. All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required. MBA preferred
