JOB SUMMARY:

The purpose of the Contracts Administration Manager is to manage and maintain hospital and other contracts in accordance with company policies and procedures, SOPs, and legal requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Contract Administration and Compliance (70%)
  Manages day-to-day administration of new and existing hospital and other contracts
¿              Maintains and reconciles information dealing with hospital and  other contract terms and conditions
¿              Drafts requests for legal review and other operative documents related to hospital and other contract administration
¿              Provides primary support for hospital and other contract administration processes including performing reviews of proposals, reporting contract amendment status, tracking administrative contract amendments, and maintaining correspondence control
¿              Manages and maintains hospital and other contract database and associated files
¿              Oversees the hospital and other contract administration process, including issuing, receiving, reviewing, communicating changes, routing for approval per company SOP’s, and tracking hospital and other contracts to final execution
¿              Develops management reports and monitors statistics related to hospital and other contract administration
¿              Coordinates  resolution of hospital and other contract issues internally and externally
¿              Works on other projects related to hospital and other contract administration as assigned
¿              Monitors, reviews, interprets, and ensures compliance on hospital and other contracts
¿              Reviews contract documentation for discrepancies and conformance to standards
Prepares Request For Proposal (RFP) Response documents
                Researches and prepares Fee Schedules associated with contracts
                Works directly with clients, operations, commercial sales, finance, legal and senior management

2) Contract Change Management (20%)
¿              Provides recommendations on policy change and development of policy to support changing regulatory requirements
¿              Provides recommendations on hospital and other contract administration procedure change and development of procedures to improve efficiency
¿              Assists with identification of risks associated with contract work flow and controls and identifies strategies to alleviate risk and communicates recommendations to executive management
                Participates in Compliance Audit reviews, responses and resolutions

3) Contract Issue Management / Dispute Resolution (10%)
¿              Provides assistance and recommendations in the negotiation of hospital and other contracts

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education Preferred:     
¿              Bachelor’s degree. Business or Life Sciences is preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and related work experience 

Work Experience:           
¿              2 or more years in health care contract administration or related field
¿              Advanced knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes involved in contracts administration

Other:  
¿              Must be detail oriented with strong reporting and organizational skills
¿              Ability to manage multiple projects to successful and timely completion
¿              Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues using effective problem-solving and decision-making
¿              Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal
¿              Advanced skills using MS office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
