Analyst, Business Development - PLS- Collegeville, Pennsylvania - M-F

Purpose Statement: 

The Business Analyst performs research, review, and analysis of data sources in multiple systems and at multiple sites, as needed, working closely with Manager to establish trending and reporting requirements.  This position is responsible for constructing data into established usable formats and ongoing analysis of business information as needed, obtained from a variety of sources, including laboratory, financial, and demographic data. It involves development and preparation of material for team members and customers. 

Key Accountabilities:

•   Complete build of incoming data used to track client’s non-Quest utilization and perform data analytics, as needed.

      •     This Position will be responsible for data build, standardization, and maintenance to ensure alignment within PLS data sources.

•   Provide team support across PLS, offering creative insights into new analytical tools, processes and methods that support the overall goals of improved business relationships and support.

•   Perform mapping of test code and related price information enabling consolidation of customer data to provide a global customer view. 

•     Assist with the development and continued provision of a customer business assessment enabling PLS with a proactive and strategic approach to business conversion.

•   Complete monthly audit process related to incoming data stream

•     Assignment of special projects as needed.

•     Complete monthly Invoice Packages and associated tasks.

•     Work closely with department manager in the development of data and reporting analytics.

Job Requirements:

-    B.S. or B.A. degree (or the equivalent in experience) or a minimum of three years’ experience in a high volume, laboratory customer services environment.  

 Knowledge, Skills Abilities:

•   Must have working knowledge with Microsoft Excel.

•   Introductory knowledge of testing names and methods to facilitate test cross-mapping

•   Strong communication skills and a strong commitment to and affinity for delivering the highest level of customer service.

•   Able to collect and research data, draw valid conclusions, and make appropriate project decisions.

•   Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with customers and team members, including strong verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to work collaboratively across different work groups, including virtual work teams.
