JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. The Cytology Processing Trainer is responsible for training all Cytology Preparation Technicians in all phases of Cytology Processing.

2. The trainer is responsible for providing input to supervisors regarding the Cytology Preparation Technician's progress and performance review.

3. May also conduct process and compliance audits.

4. Will be responsible for maintaining quality of service to clients by conducting training of new hires and existing employees on an on-going basis.

5. Handles multiple tasks. Works in a production environment.

6. Will be responsible for training both new and experience employees.

7. Works in a biohazard environment and must practice good safety habits.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
-High school or equivalent desired.

Work Experience:

-Training background or equivalent.

-Three years experience in a laboratory environment. Cytology Processing or a production setting preferred. Medical background preferred which includes medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory or equivalent experience.

-PC skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

-Training certification preferred.

-Must possess strong training skills.

-Must also demonstrate the ability to learn and understand the skills and processes that will be taught.

-Willing to work flexible hours to facilitate training.

-Demonstrates strong leadership and interpersonal skills that fosters a positive environment.

-Exhibits flexibility and be able to adapt to changes in procedures and the training of those procedures quickly.

-Excellent communication skills are required.
