Job Summary

The National Logistics Program Senior Manager is responsible for turning internal and external data into value for the organization, for developing the operational metrics and programs that solve problems and to drive process efficiency and standards across the enterprise Logistics function.  This role is tasked with driving improvements across enterprise Logistics operations including both center-led and within the regions. 

Job Responsibilities

•               Responsible for all Enterprise Logistics Operations metrics, including Tier I-III metrics

•               Act as main liaison with Sales & Operations Planning related to analytics, balanced scorecards and modeling

•               Drive accountability, in partnership with Finance BP, to conduct monthly P&L and performance reviews to drive continuous improvement and goal attainment

•               Act as analytical thought-leader for Dispatch and Flight Operations to drive operational excellence through collaboration and metrics analysis stewardship

•               Drive accountability for key logistics operations key initiatives such as 3rd Party vendor cost reduction and reduction of non-productive stops

•               Performs root cause analysis on project shortfalls and takes corrective action as necessary

•               Deliver management reporting, effective data analysis and insights, and predictive analytics to improve outcomes

•               Implement best-in-class Productivity Forecasting, Planning, Scheduling and Data Analytics to deliver a comprehensive approach that drives on-time, efficient logistics operations across the Logistics network (ground, air, dispatch and fleet)

•               Provide analysis to Logistics leaders to create and drive strategic, future state improvements

•               Support the National and Regional Logistics Leaders in strategic analysis that helps to refine enterprise strategy roadmaps

Qualifications/ Job Requirements

•               Demonstrated experience leading complex reporting and initiatives within a Logistics Organization

•               Ability to identify data needs, manipulate, analyze, evaluate and model a wide array of data

•               Demonstrated ability to build effective Business / Executive Reports, Business Cases, Storyboards, Presentations and Scorecards with minimal supervision

•               Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with others

•               Demonstrated experience influencing business leaders and leading changes

•               Familiarity with statistical / predictive modeling approaches such as volume forecasting, scorecard development, causal analysis

•               Effective written and verbal communication skills across multiple formats:  formal presentations, meetings, conference calls, e-mails, and memos targeted at all levels, front-line through Senior Leadership

•               Highly proficient in Excel and Tableau with other data analysis/visualization tools a plus

•               Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project


•               Bachelor's degree required; Masters Preferred
