Basic Purpose:

The Provider Event Training Specialist is responsible for delivery of curriculum for the Health and Wellness product line for multiple product and services to support business objectives. This position will employ the best method for training and the delivery of across our provider network and Exam One partners in health and wellness, via webinars, train-the-trainer sessions, conferences, etc. The training specialist will work closely with the Event Execution Leadership team members to execute and maintain training documentation for product services that can be used throughout the lifecycle of the product and service.  The Provider Event Training Specialist will support Area Managers or Event Execution Leadership team with technical information for providers and clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate in person training sessions and proficiency testing to provider network, which will include instructor lead classroom reviews
  • Provide results of monitoring process to supervisors and give input on training processes.
  • Coordinates of training sessions ensuring service capacity is properly maintained.
  • Visit Exam One offices and events to drive standardization as needed, which can include additional onsite training as needed for annual certification
  • Performs site visitations and process analysis; administers staff competency testing
  • Works alongside Onsite Quality Leads in field to “train  the trainer” to develop consistent training methods across the H&WS platform
  • Partners frequently with the Spec, Field Network Training and Development to help develop content as needed
  • Maintains a strong understanding of Health and Wellness product line and acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Event Execution
  • Delivers webinars, and eLearning to internal users
  • Develops and ensures compliance with all SOP’s to support Field Execution as necessary
  • Performs critical positive customer interface during training and all other interactions
  • Performs administrative duties associated with above systems
  • May perform other related tasks as assigned
  • Serves as system administrator for the on-site learning platform to monitor, report, analyze and coordinate training needs online

Supervision Exercised: 



Education Preferred:     

  • B.S. /B. A. or equivalent experience in medical related program.

Work Experience:           

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience within Wellness Industry
  • Minimum of two years’ experience with training delivery to adult learners
  • Experience with Health & Wellness or related types of products and services such as Fingerstick technique, including platform familiarity with both Cholestech LDX and CardioChek PA/PLUS
  • Experience performing
  • Experience with venous blood draws

Physical and Mental:     

  • Ability to read and write reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively and present material to be understood by a diverse group of individuals.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Lift light to moderately heavy objects. 
  • The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects. 
  • Objects in the weight range of 1 to 15 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects in the weight range of 16 to 40 pounds may be lifted and carried occasionally.
  • Objects exceeding 41 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.
  • Standing for extended periods time (up to 5 hours or more)


  • Ability to work independently, develop training materials and participate in team oriented projects.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and WebEx
  • Three years of knowledge of computer applications (word processing, windows applications, internet, database and spreadsheet programs)
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with employees at all levels of the organization and manage a range of different personality types and styles in a facilitative manner
  • Position requires excellent presentation skills; the ability to speak to audiences that include providers, peers, co-workers, managers, clients, etc.
  • Must be flexible to train/monitor in the field with providers and branch offices.
  • Pleasant attitude; demonstrated desire to drive continuous improvement is a must
  • Ability to travel 50% - 75% of the time
