Senior Operations Metrics Analyst – the role:

The Senior Operations Metrics Analyst will be broadly responsible for data analytics and data mining and for adding insight through data analysis to the organization and for the Digital Excellence group. This professional will develop and produce ePerfect Order analysis and special programs as assigned.  The Senior Operations Metrics Analyst will provide support in routine and adhoc analysis as required.

This role’s responsibilities include ad hoc queries to merge billing errors and HL7 data to generate vendor specific error reports.  Provide examples to vendor account managers to present the impact, scale, and scope to external EMR vendors.  Root cause analysis of vendor specific errors, a critical factor when determining whether an internal or external solution is needed.  Merging MI and eOrder data to generate monthly error rate reports broken out by vendor and used to present to Denials steering committee.  Tracking the positive/negative trends in error rates and help identify which vendors to focus our time on (out of 600+ systems).

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain management reports outlining the effectiveness of company ePerfect Order initiatives, develop conclusions and offer insights from findings. Work with various stakeholders to present conclusions as appropriate.

  • Work with management team to provide business analysis and support the development of presentations for both internal and external audiences. Ensures accurate and timely data is available for strategic decisions.

  • Maintain and update information for key performance indicators.

  • Develop and maintain data mining and resource planning capabilities as needed.

  • Accountable for providing meaningful information and analysis on product development and product launches

  • Produce management reports and ad-hoc analysis and presentations as directed.

  • Contribute to annual planning and forecasting as directed.

To qualify, the ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, creation of dashboards, and creation of presentations.

  • Experience with HL7 industry messaging.

  • Experience with EMR vendor technology.

  • Experience with MS Office, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.

  • Proven experience creating presentations that render complex information in a concise, appealing fashion.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Excellent listening, speaking and presentation skills.

  • Strong professional, ethical and personal integrity.

  • Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.

  • Ability to prioritize and deliver results within tight timelines.
