The Senior Data Management Analyst position is responsible for updating and maintaining the laboratory testing database, and writing SAS programs to collect, analyze and report insights critical to the Employer Solutions drug testing business. Primary tools used are SAS, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access. This role will work closely with various functions in the business including the analytics, marketing, sales, account management, and finance teams. As the Employer Solutions business works to ensure greater quality control, data integrity, consistency and speed in reporting, succession plans for key resources, and capabilities for the analysis and interpretation of information, we have identified the need for a dedicated resource to work on a variety of critical data analysis tasks. The candidate must be able to quickly gain a deep working knowledge of our systems and data, they must be data and detail-driven, able to work both independently and under direction, and must also be able to successfully prioritize their efforts to meet tight deadlines. Duties and Responsibilities:
Update and maintain laboratory testing database as needs for modifications and additions arise
Write and modify SAS programs to accurately pull and report data and metrics
Grow to understand laboratory and business operations deeply to accurately modify laboratory testing database and create meaningful, actionable reports
Take on and prioritize the execution of new projects. These projects will vary in length, scope, complexity, priority, audience, and input
Demonstrate ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and to produce required deliverables by the established deadlines and with the appropriate level of detail, accuracy, and quality control
Ability to communicate effectively
Strong, consistent attention to detail is critical
Ability to identify and investigate patterns and irregularities in data
Must be inquisitive, able and willing to ask clarifying questions
Partner with key inputs to ensure that outputs are accurate, appropriate to the audience, and well-delivered
Consistently work to ensure accuracy of the data by conducting monthly verifications and other research as needed
Promote a positive work environment and collaborate with cross-functional team members to support the business
Willingness and ability to learn new things and cross-train while managing several projects and inputs simultaneously
Supervision Exercised:

Education Required:     
Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, information technology, information systems, computer programming, or a related field is preferred
Work Experience:           
Work experience or coursework in SAS programming is preferred, but experience with other programming language(s) and a willingness to learn SAS will be considered

Physical and Mental:     
Able to sit or stand for long periods
Understanding of relational databases; SQL experience is valuable
Demonstrated knowledge in utilizing the Microsoft Office suite of products
Laboratory experience is a plus
Strong willingness to learn and understand our current data to improve the insights we use to better our business
Excellent analytical, time management, and organizational skills. Must be able to prioritize multiple simultaneous projects, while ensuring that deadlines are met
As a member of the data team, the expectation is that the candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to creatively solve complex problems, excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, and strong attention to detail
A self-directed, self-motivated, detail and deadline-oriented individual will excel in this role.
Occasional travel – up to 10% - may be required at times
