The Senior Associate Scientist will work on-site at our Marlborough, MA facility.

Senior Associate Scientist, the role:

The Senior Associate Scientist participates on a team of scientists in the development and transfer of assays. This professional will be expected to work in the laboratory.

Job responsibilities:

  • Plan, conduct and record results from moderately complex analysis, manufacturing, development or research experiments within a specific established technology area.
  • Perform laboratory experiments following established protocols and company procedures.
  • Report status of assigned projects through the preparation of detailed reports and documentation that summarize experimental results.
  • Interpret results of experiments and make recommendations for improvements. Identifies problems and investigates alternatives. Follow recommended course of action.
  • Work with team members and other business units (operations, product transfer, project management, and quality departments) to meet department and project objectives.

To qualify, the ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Knowledge and skills normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Molecular Biology or related scientific discipline and a minimum of 3 - 5 years of industry experience; 1 – 3 years of experience with a Master’s Degree 
  • Experience with next generation sequencing is required, preferably where library construction is generated using liquid handling instrumentation
  • GMP/QSR/CLIA/CAP experience preferred
