  1. Answers client/patient requests regarding referrals to service centers, placing supply orders, scheduling specimen pickups and explain program benefits while practicing First Call Resolution on each call.
  2. Receives 80-100 inbound calls a day pertaining to the Lab Card & Lab Card Select Programs, Blueprint for Wellness, Insure and any other wellness products offered by Quest Diagnostics.
  3. Makes high volume of outbound calls to educate physician offices about the Lab Card and Lab Card Select Programs and may be asked to assist on outbound call projects in order to support the other wellness products offered by Quest Diagnostics.
  4. Maintains accurate documentation of all phone calls & submits documentation of all problems or difficult phone calls to Group Coach or Supervisor.
  5. Uses established protocols for reporting client concerns.
  6. Researches laboratory results with missing information to accurately report them to clients using established protocols.
  7. Maintains the commitment to providing quality service using the Patient Care Gold Standards program to deliver consistent, superior, and caring customer service in all facets of the job.
  8. Other duties as required.



  • High school diploma or equivalent required. College credits preferred.

Work Experience:

  1. Typing skills of at least 30 words per minute.
  2. Two years professional work experience dealing with people and/or customers preferred.
  3. Prior customer service experience in a call center environment helpful but not required.


  1. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment displaying a professional attitude at all times.
  2. Must be accurate and detail-oriented and willing to take a leadership role on projects if requested.
  3. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Able to speak the English language clearly and effectively communicate to callers and other employees.
  5. Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with both internal and external customers.
  6. Ability to handle stressful situations and demonstrate strong problem solving skills being accountable for your daily work load.
  7. Must be able to operate basic office equipment.
  8. Must demonstrate Integrity and a commitment to values of Quest Diagnostics.
  9. Proficiency in Windows and Windows based programs.
