We anticipate this temporary assignment will go through the end of June 2021, and possibly longer.  We are looking for someone who will be able to work up to 40 hours per week, with an opportunity to work weekends during key events.

This is an on-site position, based in Clifton, NJ. Due to COVID-19, Quest Diagnostics requires that all employees wear face masks and personal protective equipment during working hours and consent to a daily temperature check. Employees are also required to follow all on-site safety requirements.

Project Traveler – Field IT, the role:

Project Traveler is a full realignment of our medical testing laboratories in our East Region. This temporary assignment based out of our Clifton, NJ location will provide you with an opportunity to build out/commission our new Clifton location while maintaining our existing Teterboro facility and eventually decommissioning this location.

This temporary assignment entails supporting our Project Traveler realignment of our medical testing locations in our East Region.  The Field IT staff works closely with the internal end users in the laboratory and support personnel in office space with their laboratory instrumentation connectivity, desktop connectivity and general IT issues.

To qualify, the ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent overall technical skills; ideally some experience with computer imaging.
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT field or IT Technical Institute degree preferred, or actively pursuing an IT (or related technical) academic degree at a University or Technical Institute preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Successful experience with managing multiple tasks.
  • The ability to interact with various departments within the organization and communicate to various management levels.
  • Windows 10 Proficiency
  • Office/Outlook 2016 Proficiency
  • User data and email migration experience
  • Basic understanding of the life cycle of project management (preferred)
  • Ability to learn from training sessions and then repeat process shown, on their own, with minimal repeat training
