Description

The role will report to the National Director, Supply Management and will be tasked with driving operating excellence throughout the material management of Quest Diagnostics.  This role will lead projects focused on implementing lean supply chain solutions including by not limited to the following:

Planning and executing supply chain improvement events including Kaizens, VSM etc.

Detailed analysis and modeling of supply chain supply streams, including the development of future state solutions

Development and presentation of business cases to sr. leadership

Execute supply management improvement projects as assigned using project management principles and tools to develop, define and execute projects within set time and funding constraints

Position requires extensive domestic travel (up to 30%) to work with Quest Regional Materials Management Teams and suppliers

Participate in end to end supply chain engagements with key suppliers

Key contributor to the enabling of technology and development of systems for the replenishment and management of supply flow

Experience / Qualifications

 
-BA/BS Degrees in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management preferred
-8 years of operations / supply chain experience in manufacturing or healthcare related industries
-Strong working knowledge of Quest Management Tools (QMS) - certified black belt or equivalent experience
-Ability to lead large virtual teams
-Experience planning and facilitating continuous improvement events
-Superior analytical skills including advanced excel skills and experienced with statistical modeling
-Excellent communication skills desired
