Job Summary 

Assist in the bidding process for Physician segment clients in the East Region.  The individual is responsible for providing pricing support to the Commercial team that meets pricing guidelines, marketing and sales objectives, while promoting client profitability.   

Job Accountabilities

-Support the East Region with critical client pricing and profitability analyses with emphasis on retaining and gaining profitable customers.  This includes Physician business where pricing review may include local testing Nichols performed testing, send out testing to external labs, IOPs and other services.
-Provide support for large/complex bids such as RFPs, FQHC, ACO purchase testing
-Provide consultation with Commercial Team on bid strategy, bid design and pricing approach
-Support National and local commercial teams with pricing analysis regarding National bids, Health Plans , Independent Physician Associations etc.
-Perform Fee Schedule analysis, reconciliations and updates.
-Assist with the coordination and execution of customer account pricing actions and initiatives.
-Assist with training on tools/profitability measures with Sales Support and Commercial teams. (This includes BAT profitability tool, eAccount/Sales Portal applications plus local tools.)
-Provide AWR analysis for large deal opportunities.
-Complete all pricing proposal support activities accurately and within policy guidelines.
-Provide analytical support for special projects or other assignments.

*Due to the variety of duties and responsibilities and the wide array of individuals seeking analytical support (often with customer-driven deadlines), required working hours may not always conform to a typical work week. 

-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. 
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, revenue or profitability analysis.
-Knowledge of Pricing/Profitability Modeling, Laboratory information and Billing systems
-Experience in the medical, healthcare, or clinical lab testing environments preferred.
-Excellent problem solving skills; analytical ability; planning and organization skills (including the ability to manage multiple priorities while exhibiting flexibility and teamwork)
-Exceptional communication skills (needed to convey the quantitative results of analyses to users at all levels of the Region and Sales organizations); and the ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision. 
-Advanced Excel and Word software experience. 
-Knowledge of Access database/report writing applications preferred.
