Job Description

Pathologist

Greater Denver Metropolitan Area. Come live and practice where you vacation!  We are currently pursuing a Pathologist to join our hospital-based practice.  We serve the four Denver metro area SCL hospitals (St Joseph’s, Lutheran Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Platte Valley Medical Center). Experience is a plus, but current fellows are encouraged to apply.  The following areas of subspecialty training would complement our existing group: Genitourinary, Breast Pathology, Cytopathology, and/or or Gastrointestinal Pathology.

The ideal candidate would welcome the challenges of a hospital-based practice and have great communication skills.  Everyone in the group takes on leadership roles at the hospital sites appropriate to their skill set and knowledge base (administrative, oversite of laboratory, presentation at multidisciplinary boards) and splits call in an equitable fashion.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are expected.

Denver is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States with amenities to suit a wide variety of interests.  The city boasts an excellent culinary scene, major professional sports, theater, world class concerts, and plenty of outdoor activities.  With 300 days of sunshine and easy access to world class ski areas and mountains, Colorado truly caters to outdoor enthusiasts.

Our practice model is geared towards those seeking a work-life balance as we offer a 4 day work week, full benefits package including health and dental insurance, 401K match, vacation and CME time, CME fund, relocation bonus, and malpractice insurance.

Qualifications:

• MD/DO degree plus accredited pathology residency
• Board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology
• 3 years post residency experience is encouraged
• Ability to visually, audibly, and physically perform all job functions
• Valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in CO or eligible to obtain licensure
• Active privileges in facility where any inpatient work is interpreted

Interested candidates, please email Brian.X.Kazan@QuestDiagnostics.com.
