Job Description

Mgr, Material & Supply Chain - ES- Lenexa, Kansas - 8AM to 5PM

Basic Purpose:

Manage the Supply Chain process (replenishment, requisitioning, delivery, receipt and internal distribution of products, etc.,) of all supplies and materials for assigned Business Unit(s) (BU) in accordance with Materials and Services Management Policies and Procedures. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Comply with all applicable and current Human Resources, Internal Audit, Compliance, College of American Pathologists (CAP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Finance, Materials and Services Management regulations, policies and procedures as well as any other policies deemed applicable. 

• Manage the BU Materials Management staff. 

• Act as liaison between requisitioner and the Purchasing Operations Center (POC), including but not limited to requisition review, requisition approval as needed, tracking backorders, problem resolution, Supplier Performance Management System (SPMS) input, managing product recall for the BU, returns and damaged goods. 

• Manage the Lab Utilization and review all requisitions for accuracy (quantity, date needed, etc.), making necessary corrections, and prior to being released to the POC.

• Insure all key performance indicators (KPI’s) meet or exceed targets including backorders, inventory turns, internal Turn-around-Times, Inventory accuracy and productivity targets etc.

• Provide tools, reports, information and/or resources to the BU departments to manage and improve supply costs while minimizing inventory on hand. 

• Manage warehouse and department inventory to ensure adequate supply of materials while minimizing inventory costs. 

• Manage multiple sites with direct report Staff, including work flow, performance reviews, etc. 

• Develop planning tools, reports and information to aid laboratory team in effectively manage and reduce supply costs.

• Collaborate with Corporate Procurement, Regional Operations Leadership and laboratory departments to develop systems and processes to enhance laboratory supply management.

• Interface with Regional Leadership team members assuring proper material management support of key initiatives including new business acquisition, major platform changes, new facility start-ups and consolidations.

Job Requirements

• Candidate will have a Bachelor's degree preferably. 
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain/Logistics.
• Ability to form strong team-based relationships with internal partners and internal customers, as well as external parties.
• Knowledge of the diagnostic testing industry preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) or equivalent and purchasing-related system. 
• Able to identify and solve problems / analytical skills

• Job can be based in Lenexa KS, Collegeville PA or Atlanta GA.
