Manager of Talent Management Systems

 This position provides hands-on leadership and execution on all aspects of Quest Diagnostics Talent Management systems (e.g. Applicant Tracking, Performance, Succession and Learning), architecture and applicable policies while ensuring alignment with the broader HR, business, and financial objectives of the company. The incumbent will work effectively with the Organizational Effectiveness Center of Excellence (COE), HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders, depending on project needs. 


• Leads the team of analysts that support various talent management systems, effectively collaborating with key stakeholders in Human Resources, and the lines of business to understand the drivers of the business and how the talent management technologies can best support the business objectives of the company 
• Helps shape and implement the strategic plan for the talent management systems in collaboration with the HRIS team, the HR IT Committee and senior HR Leadership, which encompasses technology strategies and architecture, a future state roadmap, and supports current/future HR, enterprise and divisional business initiatives
• Ensures the prioritization of the recruiting, performance, succession and learning systems needs across the enterprise while simultaneously determining technological “needs vs. wants”, budget considerations, and timetable requirements
• Ensures integration of talent technologies with other Quest systems and vendors, including Oracle HCM Cloud
• In coordination with the HR Training team and the broader HRIS group, make training available for the end users (e.g. HRBPs, HR Admins, Recruiters, Candidates, Senior Leaders, Employees, Managers, etc.) of the different talent management systems as needed to increase their effectiveness and ability to use the system(s)
• Identifies inefficiencies, cost reductions or system improvements. Develops and executes mitigation plans
• Researches and implements best practices and industry trends in talent management
• Leads and oversees the management of all relevant vendor relationships including vendor selection, renewals, and licensure compliance.  Monitors their results.
• Represent the talent management systems function and provide status updates on all Request for Services (RFS) and projects within the function at bi-weekly, cross-functional HR Systems Status meeting.

• Understanding of the organization’s broad human capital direction and knowledge of major technical HR disciplines such as recruiting, succession, performance management and learning development are critical to success as are project management skills.    
• Effective Communication: Being able to verbally or in writing convey messages in terms that make sense, and to actively listen to others’ interpersonal communications.
• Ability to think strategically and tactically when analyzing requirements with stakeholders.

Supervision Exercised:

Leading a team of two HR Technology Analysts



• BA/BS Computer Science, Engineering or Human Resources, or equivalent experience

Work Experience:

• 6-8 years HR technology system administration experience
• Experience with Cloud Talent Management systems (e.g. Cornerstone on Demand, Success Factors, Oracle Taleo, Saba, Workday, iCIMS)

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• This position requires constant standing, sitting and walking. Manual dexterity is used for the computer keyboard, mouse and other office equipment. This position also requires lifting up to 10 lbs for office and travel purposes.
