JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Regional Manager, the Logistics Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering training to front-line employees as well as assisting supervisors with the delivery of training. The trainer will be responsible for ensuring that all SOPs are current and that documentation is complete for the NQA audit.
The Trainer is responsible for conducting training needs analyses and for the development and delivery of new training programs based on the outcome of the analyses. Also, the Trainer will be responsible for developing and monitoring measurable goals related to training outcomes.
The Trainer will periodically ride with RSRs to evaluate training effectiveness and provide feedback to mangers/supervisors on employee performance. In this role, the Trainer will have access to overall employee and department performance. The Trainer must maintain confidentiality at all times.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides Training to Logistic Employees (Main Lab/Field)
NEOP and re-training
SOPs (Pilgrim Administrator)
Computer functions
Customer Service (Internal & External)
Specimen Handling
Dispatching/Call Center
Compliance (as required)
May provide training and/or support with Logistics technology systems such as QDSTS/QDTrac and Pathfinder/Megasys as directed by their Regional Director.
Safety
Smith Driving System
Bloodborne Pathogens
Writes and Updates Procedures/Training Material
Ensures procedure manuals are up to date
Responsible for implementation and roll-out of procedures and processes
Develop and organize multimedia visual aids and other educational materials
Develop training material for customized training
Develop training material for new hire training module
Develop department Best Practices
Site Visitations and Process Analysis
Conducts site visits to ensure procedures and processes are being followed
Collaborates with management and conducts surveys to identify training needs
Participates in all audits
Participates in recurring conference calls
Participates in National Logistics initiatives
Quality Control/Misc
Determines frequency of training per compliance standards (one-time, recurrent, retraining, ongoing)
Maintains all training records, and may be called upon to answer questions during an inspection or audit
Maintains Job Authorization Grid
Develops vehicle for feedback on training sessions and tracks performance/opportunities
Ongoing Measurement Indicators (KPIs)
RQI/MPU/Mishandling
Manage and monitor training budget for business unit
Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Strong knowledge of computer applications (database & Microsoft Office)
Practical knowledge of business systems (Megasys, QDTRAC, QLS, Avaya, Workforce Central, Employee Self Service, Manager Self Service Problem Ticket Tracker)
Change agent
Demonstrates strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Education
BA/BS preferred
Work Experience
Training experience required
Three years experience in the Logistics field preferred
Other Requirements
Experience in developing training programs preferred
Strong analytic capabilities preferred
Strong organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels
Demonstrated ability to coach front line employees
Strong communications skills both oral and written; including presentation skills
May be required to attend meetings or deliver training sessions during the evening hours
