Job Description

Logistics Coordinator II- Irving, Texas - M-F
JOB SUMMARY:
Handles initial internal and external customer contact regarding logistics.  Troubleshoots both complex logistics technical and routine requests.  Develop and manage reporting metrics in support of logistics and supplies. Participates in implementation of new logistics and material practices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. What duties are performed regularly?  How often is the duty performed (e.g., daily, weekly, etc.)? 
• Research and respond to internal logistics/materials requests from members of various divisions and functions of Quest Diagnostics. 
• Produce and analyze client TAT reports to identify systemic issues and offer solutions

• Track and analyze data related to ongoing logistics and materials projects.
• Utilize various data analysis tools to aid in decision making (i.e. Access, Excel)
• Publish various report metrics of logistics and materials initiatives to members of Senior Leadership team (weekly/monthly).
• Proactively/Reactively collaborate and interface with members of the Supply Chain, Sales, and Management
• Alerts ES Logistics management of client dissatisfaction (as needed)
• Participates in maintaining and writing departmental SOPs pertinent to job functions (as needed).
2. How is the position involved in producing reports (for example, edits text, analyzes data, etc.)?  Describe these reports and indicate how often they are produced.
A portion of this position’s duties will require the creation and maintenance of reporting metrics. Generate reports and edit to display in desired format (Excel, PowerPoint). Reports are combination of ad-hoc and monthly basis. Reports are used to support strategy and drive decision making.
3. Describe supervisory duties (e.g., recommends salary actions, conducts performance reviews, trains staff, assigns and reviews work, etc.)  What responsibility does this position have for hiring, firing, promotions, etc.?
This position does not have any of these responsibilities.
4. Describe special projects.  Describe assignments that require analytical ability.
Position requires support of logistics and supply initiatives through data analysis and internal communications. Projects will require various forms of data analysis in support of logistics and supply projects.
5. Are presentations made and if so, to whom (for example, co-workers, peers, managers, management committees, clients, etc.)?
This position will be required to present findings and data to co-workers, peers, clients, and managers.

• Research and respond to internal logistics/materials requests from members of various divisions and functions of Quest Diagnostics. 
Background: Manage flow and respond to emails/phone calls about logistics and material related issues or requests.  Research and provide resolution to original issue through research and collaboration.  
• Troubleshoot logistics issues and recommend corrective actions or alternatives to various members of the organization and clients of Employer Solutions
Background: Investigate technical internal and external issues affecting lab processes and/or client related items. Successful execution will prevent/resolve specimen flow and client service issues
• Record and track data related to logistics and materials requests.
Background: Recording and tracking data on short term and long term request will allow members of ES to proactively engage clients on potential negative consequences.
• Publish various report metrics of logistics and materials initiatives to members of Senior Leadership team (weekly/monthly).
Background: Publishing reporting metrics will aid in the decision making of the Senior Leadership team.  
• Assist the Logistics team in the gathering and organizing of data utilizing Microsoft Access, Excel, and PowerPoint (weekly).
Background: Supporting the larger term projects with data analysis will help drive the direction and aid in the decision making of projects.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Type/amount, Degrees, diplomas, course of study, etc.
• A.A. Degree in business or communications related field
• B.S. Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge: Necessary job knowledge of factual data, methods, process and theoretical knowledge.
• Proficiency in Excel, Access
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills required.
• Proven problem solving skills with the ability to develop appropriate resolutions.
• History of logical approach to projects, problem resolution, and communication. • Knowledge of QTN/QLS.
• Knowledge of ES Supply Chain
• Knowledge of medical logistics field

Experience: Specific and amount of on the job experience.
• 2 years data analysis experience. 
• 2-4 years customer service experience
• 1-3 years logistics experience.
