Establishes vision and profitable growth strategies for pathology and hematology segments within the oncology franchise. Grows revenue and optimizes test margin.  Builds and leverages deep customer insights to develop new solutions (product and service) and life cycle management.  Develop and coach product leaders.  Delivers impact through both solid line reports and a cross-functional team of resources.  Build network of external partners to support business objectives and grow our leadership position in the market.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish vision and profitable growth strategy for the pathology and hematology segments.
  • Evaluate the healthcare landscape and competition, anticipate market changes and identify customer needs and uncover opportunities.
  • Achieve planned financial and operational targets – top line revenue, test margin and expense management.  
  • Drive opportunity assessment, business case development, and successful launch new solutions based on customer needs and focusing on greatest impact opportunities, driving cross-functional teams.  
  • Establish strategic pricing approach and ensure viability of access and coverage in the marketplace
  • Partner with Health Plan and Billing teams to ensure appropriate reimbursement for overall portfolio
  • Effectively build and manage a broad coalition of external partners to increase thought leadership and influence to accelerate speed of market adoption
  • Leverage Marketing to drive promotional strategies and tactics, based on customer and regional insights, that meet external needs and deliver on revenue targets
  • Develop and partner with Operations the customer service requirements for overall product portfolio
  •  Lead, coach and develop a team of professionals, holding everyone accountable for high performance and ensuring that the franchise has a pipeline of future talent

1.       Strategic business plan

2.       Revenue, Volume, Test Margin, Cost, Discretional Spend

3.       Growth rate (YoY & CAGR), Market Share, Account Penetration, Attrition, Spent ROI

4.       Disease state strategy, continuum of care positions/gaps,

5.       Sales force effectiveness, targeting/reach/frequency, call ratio vs plan

6.       Employee engagement




• Requires Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, marketing and/or product management.Advanced degree/ MBA preferred.

Work Experience:

• 10+ years relevant experience in healthcare with at least 5 years in marketing & product management. Previous P&L management experience preferred


• Demonstrated strategic thinker.

• Track record of successfully bringing new solutions to the market.

• Talent development and performance management– willing to delegate, hold team accountable and build an empowered, high-performing organization

• Executive presence, composure, KOL relationships - Demonstrated ability to drive value through external facing management of potential partners and stakeholders

• Solid business acumen

• Experience in evaluating and integrating M&A activity
