Position Description

 

  • This position is responsible to maintain and grow existing global Precision Medicine business

  • Experience in business development with Pharmaceutical products and Diagnostic testing Ex-US/Global/International is preferred

  • The position requires a self-starter with proven revenue-generating skills, strategic planning, Market Development and executing a multi-year business development strategy.

 

Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Manage Global Diagnostics partners and build new business opportunities in Precision Medicine and Companion Dx

  • Good knowledge and understanding of the country specific regulations, diagnostic testing in global markets

  • Retain, extend, and acquire pharmaceutical and biotech partnerships through effective identification of opportunities and implementation of solutions in collaboration with Global partners.

  • Develop a healthy pipeline of solid commercial opportunities to meet and exceed revenue goals

  • Keep abreast of diagnostics and personalized medicine developments (internal and external) in the relevant Therapeutic Areas that may impact and/or present an opportunity for added value

  • Utilize strong product, market knowledge and sales experience to manage complex sales and resolve customer questions and concerns

  • Strong business and financial acumen: ability to manage contracts and solutions as a “win-win” for both the client and Quest Diagnostics

  • Healthcare industry knowledge on global trends and influences for our client base

  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and how to tailor to our client solutions

  • Management of sales activity and tracking of key sales actions

  • Knowledge and experience across multiple technologies and modalities of Diagnostics especially relevant to international markets

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Degree a plus

  • 10+ years relevant sales experience preferably in Companion Diagnostic and/or experience in Pharmaceutical  BD/alliance management

  • CDx/Dx experience from a major diagnostics or pharmaceutical company is a plus

  • An individual that is driven with a sense of urgency to outperform in a highly competitive market space

  • Strong Collaborative skills

  • Proven track record of developing compelling business cases

  • Knowledge of test sample journey, currently utilized diagnostic technologies preferred

  • Proven experience with a broad base of external customers including patients, prescribers, payors, providers

  • Ability to combine both scientific and commercial knowledge to meet customer needs

  • Ability to clearly and effectively articulate complex concepts

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
