Senior Manager, Data Engineer - for Pack Health
Pack Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineeringto lead our Data Engineering team that supports the patient engagement platform and services. You will be responsible for mentoring and guiding a team of data engineers who support critical applications. Your technical expertise will be in use every day as we build the framework for answering complex questions using data. This is an important position for Pack Health, which is a high-growth company building a new model of delivering health care. - Build and manage a team of data engineers, collectively responsible for all database administration, data warehousing, and data modeling.
- Collaborate with other leaders across the organization so that your work directly impacts company strategy and direction.
- Develop deep partnerships with engineering and product teams to deliver on major cross-functional initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including executives.
- Architect and maintain scalable data solutions/pipelines that satisfy business needs while adhering to best practices for data governance/quality.
- Develop new techniques and data that will enable answering previously unanswerable and new questions.
- Research, present, implement and train on additional data technologies to meet future needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.
- Ten or more years of relevant experience with database management tools and data centric applications. Direct experience with AWS RDS and PostgreSQL a plus.
- Proven experience managing teams in areas of data engineering/data science/analytics.
- Expertise in data warehousing and ETL/ELT solutions.
- Ability to lead/mentor others in best practices for data architecture, engineering, and analysis.
- Experience designing a data engineering roadmap and executing the vision behind it.
- Experience instilling a culture of ownership, collaboration, and results.
- Balance great diplomacy with other teams with the needs of engineering teams, while ensuring the protection of the data.
