Assoc Marketing Manager - Lenexa, Kansas - Monday to Friday
JOB SUMMARY:
The individual will be responsible for developing strategic marketing plans that would focus on leveraging customer interactions at trade shows.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collecting, analyzing & interpreting data in order to grow the business and anticipate opportunities using trade shows Utilizes market intelligence in planning & decision making particularly in helping to define & validate innovative solutions to define which shows should be attended and how to drive customer traffic at these shows. - Understands positioning & manages for competitive advantage across and within segments to leverage impact as it pertains to trade show activities.
- Works with outside agencies in the development of trade show programs. Manages the day-to-day trade show budget. Analyzes, develops, implements monitors to trade show programs to ascertain if they are successfully achieving goals.
- Creation of new reqs as needed for QLS and non-QLS (specialty reqs) in a timely manner in order to address customer needs. Amend existing reqs for QLS/non-QLS sites as needed (e. g. regulation changes, addition/deletion of tests, etc.) in order to address customer needs.
- Serve as the company SME with regard to req development process.
- Maintain and update the marketing intranet page for reqs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree; B. S. in Business; Advertising, Communications or MBA preferred
- Greater than 2 years of experience in a marketing, advertising, communications or business function
- Understand the principles of marketing Strong strategic, analytic and creative skills
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written; good presentation skills
- Detailed understanding of the customer and selling processes for laboratory testing; understanding of the laboratory industry
- Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously; ability to work under deadlines
- Proven ability to deliver results
- Good project management skills
- Work effectively in a cross-functional, matrix environment
- Collaborate with multiple levels in the organization
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
