JOB SUMMARY:

The Quest Diagnostics Talent Acquisition Senior Director is responsible for leading talent acquisition for the Company (excluding executive and science and medicine). This role will collaborate with Organization and People Excellence and Global Inclusion COEs to drive talent management strategy. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role is responsible for the design and development of the Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence and ultimately leading a team of 20 – 25 people. The director will have accountability for leading company-wide services and gaining most efficiency while balancing this with some unique business and local needs. In this role, the successful candidate will drive key talent initiatives that align to the short-term goals and long term business strategies for the company. 
• Builds and leads Talent Acquisition COE focused on full life-cycle recruiting, sourcing and overall client management. 
• Evaluates and redesigns current recruiting structure, practices and processes to ensure the right talent, in the right place at the right time.
• Works closely with HR Service center to define administrative, high-volume activity that can move to service center. 
• Works with Data and Analytics team to create dashboard that tracks and analyzes effectiveness of Talent Acquisition team. 
• Works closely with the Management team, defines talent acquisition strategies that attract and retain top talent including management, exempt, non-exempt and on-campus recruiting, and interns. 
• Leads recruiting team to identify and implement numerous sourcing strategies including lead generation, direct sourcing, cold calling, and networking and referral generation. Build, maintain and manage prospect pipeline of leads.

• Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments and applicable laws regarding Human Resources issues
• Drives process and accountability related to company’s Affirmative Action Plans
• Drives the development and implementation of key leadership development strategies to better prepare candidates for future leadership roles
• Identifies opportunities to integrate Leadership competency model into Human Resources practices and processes
• Develops succession strategy to retain key talent, identify talent gaps, and develop strategy to close talent gaps
• Strengthen management’s ability to assess talent through process improvement initiatives
• Drives the development and implementation of key diversity initiatives aimed at building understanding and commitment to continuing to support a diverse workforce and to create an environment that leads to business success 
• Designs scorecard of key core metrics to effectively benchmark and  track results
• Consults with the Senior Management Team, HR Leadership Team and other members of management on talent acquisition practices and processes; acts as a subject matter expert for business leaders
• Assesses and improves the effectiveness of ongoing talent acquisition strategies to ensure consistency and quality across the organization
• Manages complex relationships with Quest Diagnostics leadership, and external providers, establishing and maintaining a strong presence within the market. 
• Challenges and encourages talent acquisition team to develop innovative initiatives and programs
• Works closely with the HR Leadership Team to realize maximum opportunities related to Talent Acquisition
• Manages a team of about 25 people focused on recruiting about 6000 positions per year
• The successful candidate will have the subject matter expertise, technical skills and leadership qualities to work effectively with leadership in HR and the business 
• In addition to being a strategic thinker and planner, he/she will have excellent analytical, organizational, execution and administrative skills. He/she will possess sound business acumen, judgment and problem-solving skills. 
• The successful candidate will have a thorough attention to detail, the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, have a track record selecting and developing people and building effective teams. 
•With outstanding interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will naturally and effectively interact with all levels of employees. He/she will have strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to influence others to build consensus and support for ideas.
