Basic Purpose:
As a member of a centralized, service-oriented, Software Delivery Automation Center of Excellence (SDA COE), the Senior SDET is a highly motivated, self-reliant problem solver who develops and maintains products, services, and other technical solutions directed toward efficient delivery of high-quality software, focusing on automation, integrated SDLC workflows and tools.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain modular, data-driven API/UI hybrid test automation solutions for various applications and technology stacks, including Web (RWD), Desktop, and Mobile
Work closely with automation architects to execute POCs/Pilots of new solutions
Setup, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines for multiple product areas, utilizing tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, Puppet, etc.
Setup, maintain, and troubleshoot test environments (VMWare, Docker, Selenium Grid, etc.)
Utilizing Development skills and tools, create, maintain, and troubleshoot modular, global and application-specific test automation code;
Using OOP and scripting languages as applicable: Java, JavaScript, Ruby, etc.
Following modular, data-driven design methodologies
Leveraging multiple test automation tools such as Selenium, Protractor, HP-UFT, Cucumber, SoapUI, Postman, and Applitools.
Accounting for execution performance, reusability, portability, stability, and maintainability
Innovate, design, and develop utilities, tools, and solutions to enhance accuracy and efficiency
Identify and champion process improvements
Implement and enforce automation code standards and best practices, including documentation
Validate and report data via SQL queries
Work closely with application Developers to create and maintain white box API tests
Debug and resolve failures, including research and implementation of technical resolutions and stable workarounds
Participate in Agile Scrum Team, including planning meetings and demos
Work closely with Testers and Business Analysts to establish and maintain in-depth knowledge of application area
Collect quality metrics and perform trend analysis
Regularly report status and backlog to customers
Train, oversee, and support testers in automation script development (including Cucumber
Provide peer reviews and inspections to ensure best practices adherence
Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously

Supervision Exercised:
Provide oversight and guidance to testers utilizing tool integration and automation solutions provided by the SDA team
Monitor and ensure compliance with test tool and automation best practices, by junior testers.

Qualifications:
Education Preferred: B.S. Degree in Computer Science or Related Field, and/or equivalent experience
Work Experience:
Minimum 7+ years of proven, hands-on development experience using Java, C#, Ruby, Python, or comparable
Prefer minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience using test automation tools such as Selenium (or comparable), at the GUI level, and SoapUI (or comparable) at the Web Service layer
Experience working with Eclipse, Intellij, or comparable Maven, Ant, or comparable Jenkins, Hudson, or comparable
Perforce, GitHub, or comparable
Qualifications:
Good knowledge of relational database systems (SQL Server, Oracle) and ability to write/execute basic queries
Experience with
Selenium Grid
Unit Testing
Mobile application automation
Responsive Web Design application automation
API automation
Gherkin writing
Other Desirable Qualifications: Experience in script-less test automation using Tosca or similar tools
Experience in Test Data Management
Experience in Service Virtualization
Knowledge of test case management and defect-tracking tools (QC, QAC, TFS, Jira, Rally, or comparable)
Understanding of the Agile software development cycle from requirements through design, coding, unit and integration testing, documentation, deployment, and maintenance
Healthcare domain experience
