The Senior Analyst, Market Analytics (US Regions) is a
hands-on professional with experience conducting market-level forecasting,
marketing return-on-investment analyses (MROI), market opportunity sizing and
assessments, and customer segmentation.
This role is highly collaborative and works directly with
strategists in each of Quest’s six US regions to enable evidence-based
decision-making.
It is essential that this
individual be able to mine multiple data sets, synthesize outputs from
analytical tools and methods, and communicate them to colleagues in a way that
they can determine appropriate actions to take based on the derived insights.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Applies
data mining and analysis across internal and 3rd-party data sets to:
•Profile and segment Quest’s customers along multiple attributes for targeting with marketing and other communications
•Identify and quantify customer behaviors that can be leveraged to generate additional revenue and operational efficiencies
Applies
statistical techniques including segmentation and predictive modelling to
drive operational strategies
Generates
near- and long-term forecasts of lab diagnostics test volume and revenue in
the US market
Uses multiple
approaches to optimize and measure (MROI) the impact of marketing campaigns
and programs
Conducts
market sizing and opportunity analysis utilizing secondary research methods,
financial analysis, demand modeling, product lifecycle assessment, S-curves,
industry knowledge, and primary research
Prepares and
delivers presentations that allow insights to be readily extracted and
understood from large amounts of data
Supports
strategic initiatives, ad hoc analytics requests, and ad hoc reporting
Required Work Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is preferred

•Working on a computer for long periods of time
Knowledge and Skills:
•Proficiency with statistical tools commonly used in business today. Examples include statistical packages (SAS, SPSS, R) and database query languages (SQL)-
•Proficiency with data visualization tools commonly used in business today. Examples include Tableau and PowerBI
•Skilled in market-level forecasting, market segmentation, and market opportunity assessments for new and existing products/services in B2C, B2B, and data-thin environment
•Experience predicting, monitoring, and measuring the performance of marketing programs/ campaigns
•Ability to translate ‘asks’ into analytical solutions that address underlying business needs
•Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products
•Strong project management skills; seamlessly manages multiple simultaneous projects and the flow of information across multiple work groups
•Team oriented – ability to work well with diverse, cross-functional teams; ability to work collaboratively in a highly matrixed organization
•Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
•Ability to function in a sometimes-ambiguous environment that seeks to achieve a higher level of analytical maturity
•Strong writing and communication skills; ability to prepare and present clear and concise written communications, both in report and presentation formats
•Initiative – ability to independently problem solve and find resolutions
The
following skills and experiences are a plus but not required:
-Experience working in a regulated industry; experience working within life-sciences
-Familiarity with machine learning and AI tools/programs
-Measuring customer experience (CSAT, CES, NPS); familiarity with enterprise-wide customer experience platforms such as Qualtrics, Medallia, and/or Confirmit
-Developing
and conducting qualitative and quantitative market research
This is a remote position with travel for team meetings and in-person work sessions as needed.
