The Senior Analyst, Market Analytics is a hands-on professional with experience in using predictive modeling, customer analytics and data mining to derive insights and recommendations. This role is highly collaborative and works cross-functionally to optimize marketing campaigns and programs, track customer experience, develop market-level forecasts and lead opportunity assessments. This will be accomplished by creating and executing advanced analytics and by presenting results and recommendations. The role will assist with the building and deployment of foundational capabilities that will allow for ongoing collection, analysis and reporting of Consumer and Health Care Professional customer experience.
It is critical that the individual be able to contribute in a highly matrixed organization to enable evidence-based decision-making. It is essential that this individual be able to synthesize outputs from analytical tools and methods and communicate them to colleagues who are not subject matter experts in a way that they can determine appropriate actions they should take based on the derived insights.
Other Responsibilities Include:
• Utilizes
appropriate analytics methods to conduct ROI analyses, regression analyses,
market-level forecasting, financial modeling, CX measurement and opportunity
assessments
• Creates
near and long-term forecasts (familiarity with statistical trend/cycle/seasonal
methods like exponential smoothing and ARIMA); understands demand-driven
forecasting and consensus forecasting
• Conducts
market sizing and opportunity analysis utilizing secondary research methods,
financial analysis, demand modeling, product lifecycle, S-curves, industry
knowledge, product development and primary research
• Assists
in the development, standardization and implementation of customer experience
tracking and reporting
• Creates
actionable customer segmentations
• Prepares
and delivers presentations that allow insights to be readily extracted and
understood from large amounts of data
• Supports
strategic initiatives and ad hoc requests
• Supports
department needs for ad hoc reporting
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s
degree required; Master’s level degree in mathematics, economics or related
field (e.g. MBA, MPH, MS) is preferred
• 3-5
years in analytics or finance in a business organization; 3+ years analyzing
large data sets and creating data models to inform decision-making
• Experience
working in a regulated industry a plus; experience working within life-sciences
and customer experience a plus
• Skilled
in market-level forecasting and market opportunity assessments for new
products/services in B2C, B2B and data-thin environments
• Experience
predicting, monitoring and measuring the performance of marketing programs/
campaigns, including attribution modeling
• Hands-on
experience measuring customer experience (CSAT, CES, NPS) and familiarity with
enterprise-wide customer experience platforms such as Qualtrics, Medallia
and/or Confirmit
• Highly
proficient in a variety of analytical and statistical tools commonly used in
business today. Examples include: statistical packages (SAS, SPSS), database
query languages (SQL), data analytics platforms (Alteryx) and data
visualization tools (Tableau)
• Thorough
understanding of statistics as it relates to analyzing data sets and understanding
their limitations
• Ability
to translate ‘asks’ into analytical solutions that address underlying business
needs
• Demonstrated
proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products
• Strong
project management skills; seamlessly manages multiple simultaneous projects
and the flow of information across multiple work groups
• Team
oriented – ability to work well with diverse, cross-functional teams; ability
to work collaboratively in a highly matrixed organization
• Strong
interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability
to function in a sometimes ambiguous environment that seeks to achieve a higher
level of analytical maturity
