Job Description

Mgr, Telecom Billing- Secaucus, New Jersey - 9-5 

Basic Purpose:

• Build/Maintain Telecom Team to develop a robust billing platform across the Enterprise.  The individual will need to hire resources to build out a team responsible to transform/consolidate the current telecom billing platform.   We currently have multiple inventory/billing platforms and different processes to pay the telecom bills in a timely fashion.   We need to streamline the process and consolidate our inventory to publish metrics and provide accurate data to our Management Team.    

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.     Consolidate Telecom billing (migrate to one billing platform)

2.     Develop strong Telecom team (off/on shore)

3.     Publish monthly telecom metrics

4.     Develop process to Order/Disconnect new services (circuits)

5.     Work closely with HTAS and Field to understand Technology deployment

6.     Provide guidance to the Field regarding billing/spend

7.     Manage Accounts Receivable balances with A/P and Carriers

8.     Host regular meetings to provide Telecom overivew

9.     Develop strong relationships (carriers, Field, HTAS, IT Finance, Accounts Payable)

10.  Work closely with Finance/Accounting to book/reverse monthly accruals

 

 

Supervision Exercised:

Build strong Telecom billing team.  The new Manager will have approximately 9 Resources under management including 3 Resources at our GIC and 6 resources on site.  The new roles will include building out a new inventory repository, publishing monthly spend reports by region, new ordering process, building strong relationships in field/corporate, manage telecom transformation overall and own Telecom billing across the Enterprise.  

 

Qualifications:

 

Education:

• BS in Computer Science, business, or equivalent experience.

Work Experience:

• 5-10 Years related work experience

• Experience building out a team, providing direction, and motivating staff

• Experience using a TEM (Telecom Expense Management) tool

• Managed Telecom billing for a large Enterprise

• Strong skills in the use of Microsoft desktop tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
