 Basic Purpose:

Provide technical expertise and support for LIS standardization. Work with national leaders to develop interface specifications, test standards, and provide training and support for new equipment, software changes to current platforms, interface functionality enhancements and other LIS standardization initiatives. Works across regional labs to improve and standardize processes relating to the management of workflow and reporting of results on equipment. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
•              Develop training documents and other tools relating to LIS standards and deployment.
•              Define success metrics for LIS standardization in the technical areas.
•              Develop LIS testing protocols 
•              Drive standardization of testing – common processes and instrument interfaces – platform optimization. 
•              Act as liaison between national leaders, operations, compliance, QIS, and IT to drive requirements and standards for instrument  interfaces relating to Q suite
•              Ensure Qsuite RFS requirements are met and coordinate regional testing & training for the LIS and software applications.
•              Implement instrument interface standards and functional tools for regional consolidation.
•              Work with regional labs – across multiple regions – ensure a common working knowledge of standard LIS and workflow processes..
•              Coordinate and facilitate resolution with input from Medical/national leaders/QIS/IT/regional on instrument interface issues
•              Assist IT/LOS and the lab to resolve issues that surface during process gap analysis, instrument set-up and validations, work with national leaders and operations to mitigate problems. Get final approval on interface documentation.

Education Preferred:    Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent
Work Experience:          
Clinical and technical expertise in Lab Operations, standard LIS functionality, instrument interface development, and workflow management
•              Minimum 5 years of experience in operations/IT applications
