Group Lead, Receiving - Indianapolis, IN - Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM 

$2K SIGN ON BONUS!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Physically receives, inspects, verifies and shelves all materials into the facility after proper entry and receipt into the PeopleSoft inventory system.
  •  Notes any short dated materials upon receipt (less than 30 days of shelf life) and report to theClient Supply Supervisor/Manager to determine any possible actions that need to be taken.
  •  Notifies the Client Supply Supervisor/Manager of any discrepancies of materials versus what is I noted on the shippers' documentation.
  • Contacts the vendor regarding any discrepancies via telephone or email copying the Client Supply Supervisor/Manager.
  • Utilizes the POC Service Portal to request any changes to Purchase Orders after conferring with the Group Lead or Client Supply Supervisor/Manager.
  • Performs the Returned Goods process according to the Returned Goods Work Instruction ensuring that the expiration date is within the acceptable range.
  • Puts warehoused items in the designated storage areas and rotates stock according to receipt and expiration dates to ensure proper stock rotation and use prior to expiration.
  • Files and maintains all receiving paperwork per the Work Instruction, and researches discrepancies as needed.
  • Assists and coordinate activities with the re-stocker each day.
  • Assists in cycle count and full physical inventory as directed.
  • Analyzes current procedures in place and make recommendations for process improvements to the Client Supply Supervisor/Manager.Performs other duties within the facility as required.

Qualifications:

Education Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Work Experience:

• Six months previous materials management experience required

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to seventy (70) pounds

• Ability to operate materials handling equipment as needed (walkie stacker pallet jack, etc.)

Other:

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

• Strong problem solving skills

• Strong communication skills

• Strong record keeping skills

• Ability to operate a computer, printer and bar code scanner

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) or equivalent

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
