JOB SUMMARY:

Key analytical support role tasked with the development of databases, financial analyses, and reports in support of driving operating performance in the Hospital Business.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide MS Access database design, development, and implementation support.
2. Use MS Excel and Access to analyze large quantities of data from multiple sources.
3. Identify key trends and prepare reports and business recommendations for internal customers.
4. Automate recurring processes and reporting through the use of VBA/macros.
5. Assist in the Hospital monthly financial close process.
6. Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior year.
7. Complete ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested.
8. Participate in the Hospital budgeting and forecasting processes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

-Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science 2 to 4 years experience
-Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
-Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access skills
-Financial or business analysis experience
-Data mining experience and understanding of ODBC
-Outstanding customer service; ability to communicate complex concepts and recommendations in a simple, customer-friendly manner

Desired:
Experience using Business Objects or similar business intelligence software Knowledge of SQL
