Position Description

The Director, Digital Content Analytics and Optimization acts as a strategic business partner to the Leadership and Marketing teams and cross-functional colleagues, guiding the development and execution of digital marketing processes and content.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will provide leadership to improve the effectiveness of digital marketing content, as measured by the content’s ability to advance customers along the customer journey.  He/she will implement an A/B testing program, a web analytics strategy and program, digital analytics dashboards, ensuring a governance protocol for ongoing content management and optimization.  The Director will collaborate to create business and functional requirements and documentation which may include wireframes and coded apps.  Additionally, the incumbent will evaluate user experience and lead user acceptance testing.  Responsibilities will include the development and implementation of a digital roadmap and measuring post-release effectiveness.  Responsibilities of managing resources include agencies, consultants, and analytics vendors.                

•       Serve as Quest HealthConnect’s functional expert on web analytics.  Recommend and implement enhancements, consult with colleagues on the use and interpretation of analytics and reporting tools.  Share insights and support best practices for applying data-driven metrics for awareness, engagement, conversion, and retention campaigns

•       Define KPIs, common taxonomy, and approach to consistently measuring digital content effectiveness across the organization

•       Advance Quest HealthConnect’s analytics capabilities from measuring general web activity (visitors, geographic diversification, most visited pages, number of web requests, changes week-to-week/month-to-month, etc.) to measuring effectiveness of contents’ ability to advance customers along the customer journey

•       Develop KPIs and success metrics plan for campaign and application launches.

•       Manage external agencies as needed for additional support

•       Set-up, administer, and optimize Google Analytics accounts for all Quest HealthConnect web properties

•       Manage conversion from free version of Google Analytics to the Premium tool

•       Produce necessary reports (ad hoc and dashboards in Tableau as needed) to measure content, campaign success, and opportunities for improvement in conversions

•       Provide interpretation and actionable insights from Google Analytics so that content owners can understand and leverage data to continually improve their content

•       Document requirements for IT resources to properly tag applications built with Angular Material based on requirements in KPIs and success metrics plan.  Audit implementation to ensure tagging is configured correctly

Supervision Exercised

This position does not directly supervise others immediately and will build a team of direct reports as the business grows the digital engagement function in Quest HealthConnect. The candidate must possess the ambition, demonstrate the skills and experiences to lead and influence others across functional areas and grow into positions that directly manage and develop people.

Qualifications

•       Bachelor’s degree required. Masters level degree in IT, mathematics, economics, or related field (e.g., MBA, MPH, MS) preferred

•       10+ years of progressive experience in marketing or related field

•       5+ years of web or app marketing experience

•       Experience managing vendors, agency partners and budgets

•       Experience in B2C and B2B marketing strategy and execution

•       Experience in Digital, Marketing, Brand Management, Agencies, or Consulting roles

•       Experience in program, project, and vendor management

•       Strong web analytics skills and experience required

•       Experience with A/B testing tools

•       Experience with tagging protocol/best practices for applications built with Angular Material.

•       Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and AdWords is preferred

•       Fully proficient with various software programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.

•       Strong written and oral communication and excellent influencing/collaboration skills across many functions and levels

•       Preferred pharmaceutical, healthcare, diagnostic, lab, or consumer packaged goods experience

•       Thorough understanding of statistics as it relates to analyzing data sets and understanding their limitations
