Clinical Segment Marketing Director, Pharma Services

Position Description

The Director, Clinical Segment Marketing, Pharma Services, will be the primary marketing lead for the Pharma Services Franchise, The Director will develop marketing insights and strategic marketing plans to fulfill Franchise priorities; drive execution through collaboration with Pharma companies, Healthcare Analytic Solutions, Customer and Regional teams; liaise with Commercial Team and participate in Sales Training

Pharma Services is a rapidly growing and expanding franchise within Advanced Diagnostics that offers pharma companies a suite of comprehensive services including but not limited to Companion Diagnostics Commercialization Services, IVD Services and Clinical Trial Lab Services to support drug discovery from pre-clinical to commercialization.

Duties and Responsibilities

•                     Identify customer and market insights for CF team

•                     Track market trends and derive competitive strategy and differentiation by product type

•                     Identify region-specific product opportunities and work with regional marketing to assess/address them

•                     Ensure translation and representation of CF strategic priorities in Customer Marketing Plans

•                     Coordinate with Customer Marketing for positioning CF offerings by customer

•                     Sales support content around specific solutions

•                     Inform product training

•                     Liaise with Specialty Sales Directors

•                     Partner with Regional Marketing to deploy product-specific programming

•                     Support CF to conduct market need / customer validation analysis by customer type

•                     Report progress of marketing plans to CF

•                     Drive re-balancing of priorities to meet unexpected needs of CF

Qualifications

•         Bachelor’s degree is required; Business degree preferred

•         5+ years healthcare industry and pharma experience preferred; Minimum 10+ years success in a marketing role

•         Up to 50% business travel required

•         Team oriented – ability to lead diverse, cross functional teams and in a matrix environment

•         Excellent project leadership skills to ensure execution

•         Superior communication skills including ability to deliver formal business presentations to executive leadership

•         Initiative – ability to independently problem solve and find resolutions

•         Superior strategic thinking and analytical skills to synthesize market/customer insights into prioritized marketing opportunities; Strong capabilities in analyzing data to demonstrate quantifiable opportunities or results
