Drive excellence in client supply order fulfillment execution across all North East business units. The Client Supply Fulfillment Supervisor will have primary responsibility for client supply order fulfillment processes and activities managed through a regional client supply fulfillment network. This order fulfillment operation is part of Quest Diagnostics Supply Chain Operations.  The supervisor will be accountable for providing customer service excellence (internal and external) and significant shareholder value through the execution of best in class order fulfillment processes. Responsible for overall operations management of the North East business unit regional client supply fulfillment center to ensure timely, accurate and cost effective delivery of external client supplies and fulfillment of internal stock requests.



  1. Supervision of hourly employees including training, safety, work assignments, schedules, performance, time record administration, time off and attendance.
  2. Maintenance of data integrity and inventory accuracy within the Stockclerk system with strict adherence to all purchasing, receiving, replenishment, transfer, adjustment, client return, order fill/confirm and automated re-order processes.
  3. Compliance with all company policies and procedures including human resources, material management, safety, quality and record retention.
  4. Maintenance of all facility, equipment, security and IT infrastructure including building, electrical, lighting, flow racks, shelving, conveyor, forklift, pallet jacks, pillow machine, utilities, printers, PCs, HVAC systems, telephone, fax, internet, network connectivity and shipping machines including Stockclerk integration.
  5. Oversight of dock area for inbound and outbound transportation including truck deliveries/and supply pickups to ensure safe practices and timely movement of materials.
  6. Maintaining a clean, safe and organized work environment including daily cleanup, waste disposal and optimization of trash and cardboard recycling.
  7. Promoting an environment of continuous improvement including lean and six sigma processes and mistake proofing. Utilize internal data and customer feedback to identify systemic issues for timely and effective corrective action.
  8. Strict adherence to quality control requirements including visual inspections, lab testing, shelf life, refrigeration, temperature controls and documentation.
  9. Establishment and adherence to budget/cost objectives for operating expenses including labor, inventory, supplies and shipping.
  10. Primary interface for effective communications with clients, PSCs, FedEx and BU points of contact to ensure highest levels of customer service and responsiveness.
  11. Performance to corporate goals and objectives including turnaround time, cost, productivity, quality, fill rate, backorders, inventory accuracy/turns, overtime, absenteeism, compliance and safety. Publish key performance metrics on a weekly basis to monitor and communicate performance to employees and BUs.
  12. Timely processing of client returns with appropriate BU communications and material disposition including proper waste disposal or return to stock.
  13. Support monthly financial closing processes including labor reporting, invoice payments, system discrepancy resolution and physical inventory.
  14. Maintenance and ordering of tools, operating and office supplies to support continuous pick, pack and ship operations including printer paper, zip lock/bubble wrap bags, cushion wrap, rubber bands, coolers, ice packs, boxes, tape, pillow film, toner cartridges, shrink wrap and shipping labels.
  15. Perform quality audits to ensure pick accuracy for items and quantities as well as proper packaging methods, arrangement of supply items and box size. Ensure immediate feedback to operators for corrective action and mistake proofing.
  16. Printing, sorting and reviewing client supply and stock request orders on a daily basis to ensure a continuous work flow, prioritize STAT (urgent) orders and establish appropriate cutoff times to meet daily shipping commitments.
  17. Compliance with export regulations for international shipments including preparation of commodity manifests and execution of commercial invoices.
