Job Description

The Logistics Analyst will facilitate business process excellence through national or regional logistics metrics while using cost effective and innovative solutions to analyze, review and document all or part of the Logistics functions and processes.  The analyst is responsible for directing data analysis and access database development and maintenance for Logistics Leadership. This position is also responsible for providing project management support by developing and maintaining project schedules, measuring project performance, and creating high-visibility project reports for a wide audience.  The analyst will also perform duties as assigned by management, such as assisting in the development and implementation of new Logistics processes for both regional and national process improvement teams and initiatives.  
  • Facilitate data collection, analysis of information/data to identify trends and improvement opportunities in logistics operations 
  • Conduct root cause analysis and work with logistics team to develop solutions/ improvement plans. 
  • Provide feedback and analytical support to management and leadership team 
  • Develop data collection and tracking tools to monitor logistics KPIs 
  • Drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives associated with best practice projects through OE teams in field services and logistics 
  • Facilitate and manage process improvement projects; lead cross-functional teams 
  • Collect VOC from both internal and external customers 
  • Work collaboratively with other functional groups to evaluate business processes and identify improvement opportunities in functional areas, e.g. specimen management and lab to improve specimen arrival profile, RRL to improve stat TAT, etc. 
  • Provide training and coaching to logistics team members on lean six sigma principles 
  • Organize and report data analysis for OE leadership 
  • Work with Leadership to develop and deploy monthly financial review discussion for variance analysis at regional level 
  • Able to work cross-functionally in a matrix environment  

Required Work Experience:   5 – 10 years overall related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required  Preferred Work Experience:  

  • 2-3 years of experience in logistics/ fleet preferred  
  • 2-4 years analyst/ project management experience preferred 

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Quest Diagnostics Logistics policies and procedures preferred.
